Meet: Aneesh Varma. Host of TC’s new podcast series:
“Find me at any party with cheap booze, and you’ll quickly find out that I hate talking about myself. However, for the sake of this introduction, I’ll do my best to explain myself in the most honest and accurate terms.
“Straight out of New Delhi, India, my father migrated to Taiwan some time in the 1980s, where he walked into an ice cream shop and met the love of his life – a beautiful Taiwanese woman of dark courage and a light-skinned complexion.
“Fast forward a decade later and I was born, an innocent little chap born in Hong Kong who shat in a diaper far too long than most normal kids should.”
“My name is Aneesh Varma.”
“Now Third Culture’s brand new host and sayer of the ugly truth, for better or for worse. Today, I’m a man divided between both self-expansion and self-destruction. (If being a mixed bag of conflicting values describes you, drop me a line – we need to meet up for a beer).”
“As a musician…I found my passion…”
Half spiritual-guru and half-degenerate douchebag
“I, the half spiritual guru and half degenerate douchebag, managed to accumulate a couple of accolades along the way. As a musician and an athlete, I found both my passion as a singer-songwriter and my work as a personal trainer. But as a writer and speaker, I found my ultimate weapon.”

Half Indian, Half Chinese
“My half Indian, half Chinese heritage makes me culturally neutral, sort of like a racial eunuch. I travel to new places and mingle with the people who bear few similarities to me. Seeing the same beauty in all the art and music created by strange civilizations. I recognize the love and joy in the smiles of people whom I do not understand. I know nothing about the perils of being a Third Culture Kid that so many speak of – only the blessings of being a cultural chameleon, allowing me to blend in and see the truth about what makes us all human.”

My personal Mission.
“Third Culture is a joining of worlds in a time where nothing could be more necessary. My personal mission is to share the third culture experience as a positive one, founded in the realities of love and harmony that I dream, sometime in the distant future, will chronicle the times we live in.”
