Shortly after the United Kingdom voted to leave the European Union, Twitter and Facebook were not just flooded with shock and grief. Another reaction started to pop up: testimonials from people noticing increasingly public racism. Many shared their stories using the hashtag #PostRefRacism. British pro-Remain campaigner Sarah Childs decided to collect these witness accounts in a Facebook Album called Worrying Signs. Below are are a few of the experiences the victims or witnesses have shared with the world.

Many worry that the Brexit campaign, which relied heavily on anti-immigrant sentiment, has legitimised openly racist behaviour.
